It's been a week since Dragon Age: The Veilguard launched, and the first patch is here to improve the experience. With quality-of-life enhancements and numerous bug fixes, this update addresses player feedback and aims to smooth out gameplay.
N7 Day Content
- New Appearance: Players can find an exclusive N7 Day appearance for Rook in the Lighthouse. This is a cosmetic-only armor, perfect for fans looking to celebrate their favorite alliance.
Bug Fixes and Improvements
PC-Specific Fixes
- Resolved an issue that prevented DLSS options from appearing on Nvidia 40-series GPUs.
- Fixed minor PC-only crashes and updated XeSS to version 1.3.1.
Gameplay and Visuals
- Fixed inconsistencies in customization application for the Inquisitor during certain ending scenes.
- Prevented Companion Skill Points from resetting, ensuring progress isn’t lost.
- Improved Companion Approval notifications to stay on-screen longer, so players can better track approval changes.
- Harding is now fully prepared with arrows in her quiver for battle.
- Fixed global banter from triggering too early, along with a recurring banter issue with Harding and Taash.
- Resolved various fast-travel bugs that interrupted quests.
- Adjusted camera stability for in-world missions when changing party members.
Visual Enhancements
- Improved long-distance visual performance by updating several assets.
- Reduced "pop-ins" of level art assets for a more immersive experience.
- Added missing collision on assets and improved texture quality in codex art.
- Enhanced lip sync accuracy in ambient scenes and balanced audio across different assets.
Quality of Life Updates
- Added haptic feedback to specific interactions and events for a more immersive experience.
- Fixed helmet voice processing issues when changing equipment.
- Corrected issues with objective markers spawning improperly.
Skill and Combat Adjustments
- Fixed interactions between Skills, ensuring they behave as described.
- Apparitions from the Iron Veil now target Razikale as intended.
- Entropic Spheres now work properly on vertical surfaces.
- Improved Taunt effectiveness to prevent enemies from ignoring it.
- Resolved a rare bug where Rogues wouldn’t hold their bow while aiming down sights.
- Adjusted combat balance on specific encounters and refined several player skills.
- Fixed exploits related to leashing in major encounters.
- Rage Demon’s Ring of Fire is now easier to dodge.
Quest and NPC Fixes
- Fixed timing issues and character behavior in Sea of Blood and Pinnacle of Its Kind quests.
- Corrected various NPC interactions, including floating Halla, NPCs failing to look at each other, and unexpected neck growth.
- Updated specific encounters, including a faster raven in Hossberg and a Dalish elf who is now correctly identified.
UI and Accessibility Enhancements
- Made the detailed stats screen more readable.
- Added scroll wheel support to the sell screen, making item management easier.
- Fixed journal map scrolling issues when opened on the map.
- Achievements now unlock correctly when reaching maximum Faction Strength.
