Counter-Strike 2 Unveils the Armory, Charms, and New Sticker Collections

Counter-Strike 2 Unveils the Armory, Charms, and New Sticker Collections

Counter-Strike 2 has rolled out a substantial update that introduces a variety of new in-game features and customization options, headlined by the launch of the Armory—a dedicated store for weapon upgrades, cosmetic items, and more. Players can now acquire an Armory Pass to gain Armory Credits, which are then used to unlock new weapon collections, charm sets, sticker designs, and exclusive items, including the new Gallery Case and the much-anticipated Heat Treated Desert Eagle.

Charms: A Fresh Take on Weapon Personalization

This update introduces Charms, a new customization feature for weapons. Players can attach these dynamic charms to their guns, allowing for a unique look that adds personality to their arsenal. Charms are fully detachable, and each new charm redeemed from the Armory comes with three complementary Charm Detachments, making it easy to reposition or swap charms onto different weapons. Additional detachments are available for purchase, adding flexibility in weapon design.

Accessing the Armory: Armory Pass and Credits

To explore the Armory’s offerings, players must purchase an Armory Pass. Available to Prime Status players, these passes provide access to 40 Armory Credits, which are now earned through playtime rather than granted upfront. Players can activate up to five passes simultaneously, allowing them to earn credits across multiple passes as they progress. However, Armory Passes and Credits are strictly non-tradable and cannot be listed on the Steam Community Market.

Stickers and Customization Tools

The update also brings two new sticker collections—Elemental and Character Craft Stickers—and introduces a “Scrape Preview” feature that lets players see how a sticker will look after some wear before committing to it. New features for inventory and item management offer expanded options, including previews for stickers, patches, and charms on owned items, and updates to how players apply and remove stickers. A nametag preview function now provides a clear view of the nametag on items.

Additionally, changes to item trade restrictions include a new 7-day wait on re-trading and re-selling items acquired through the Armory, Trade Offers, and the Steam Community Market.

Gameplay and Animation Enhancements

The update isn’t just about customization; it also brings quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes that affect gameplay. For instance, the issue of flashbangs and HE grenades detonating prematurely due to the ‘stuck bounce’ limit has been addressed. Animation updates enhance the fluidity of character movement, including smoother transitions, better character posing, and fixes for lingering animation glitches.

Map Adjustments and Stability Updates

Many maps have received attention, with fixes aimed at removing bugs like disappearing textures, unintended line-of-sight angles, and collision errors. These adjustments, along with general bug fixes and stability upgrades, offer a smoother and more polished experience.

With this update, Counter-Strike 2 continues to deepen its customization and gameplay features, allowing players more control over their gaming style and aesthetic while enhancing core mechanics for competitive play.
