This update introduces the Trapper hero to Hero Labs, adds new features such as Quickbuy, and brings a slew of bug fixes and gameplay refinements.
General Gameplay Enhancements
- Hero Labs Expansion: Players can now access Trapper in Hero Labs across Private Lobbies, Bot Games, and Sandbox modes.
- Quickbuy System: A newly added Quickbuy feature allows players to queue items in their preferred purchase order with an in-game indicator to signal when items can be afforded.
- Performance Improvements: Loading times have been reduced as shaders and map resources now pre-compile on the dashboard, addressing in-game hitching issues.
- Enhanced Interface Options: Updates include a social settings tab, a "Frenzied" indicator for low health, tooltips for HUD stats, and streamlined hero stats display, viewable by holding ALT or TAB.
Gameplay Tweaks and Fixes
- Bot Behavior: AI adjustments allow bots to attack shrines and enemy patrons more aggressively, and several bugs, such as issues with Quantum Entanglement, Sinner's Sacrifice, and shields not regenerating, have been resolved.
- Quality of Life Improvements: Players now see a Recent Purchases log, a visual indicator for item builds, and improved visuals for McGinnis Barrage explosions. Additionally, Vindicta and Viscous received new animations and effects, further enhancing gameplay immersion.
Map Adjustments
Key updates to the map layout include moving neutral camps closer to mid-lane, removing unnecessary obstacles for easier navigation, and adding Cosmic Veils at mid-floor entrances. These one-way vision barriers offer tactical opportunities for teams navigating the battlefield.
Item Balances
Numerous weapon, vitality, and spirit items have received balance changes:
- Close Quarters now provides Bullet Resist instead of Bullet Shield Health.
- Restorative Shot and Active Reload offer improved shield and health benefits, while Glass Cannon and Lucky Shot saw reductions in penalties and resistances.
- Other items, including Slowing Hex, Withering Whip, and Decay, were fine-tuned to align with intended gameplay effects.
Hero-Specific Updates
Several heroes have been rebalanced to enhance their strategic role:
- Abrams regains mobility in Shoulder Charge and increased spirit scaling for his Siphon Life.
- Bebop benefits from an increased Sticky Bomb range and ally-based casting range.
- Warden received a Sprint boost and resistance adjustments for its Last Stand ability.
- New animations and sound effects bring unique updates to heroes like Vindicta and Yamato.
